One of the main priorities of US foreign policy in the Middle East has been the production and transfer of energy, especially oil. Given the decline in fossil fuels and the world's move towards energy transition, renewable energies, especially solar and wind energy, have been proposed as key solutions to the challenges of energy sustainability, and the Middle East has become a center of renewable energies. The purpose of this study is to analyze US foreign policy in the Middle East in the era of fossil fuels (oil) and also the transition to renewable energies. This study, using argumentative and inferential methods, addresses the central question of how US foreign policy in the Middle East can be explained within the framework of energy geopolitics. The research findings show that the sunlit and windy regions of the world, especially the Middle East, will become new geostrategic and geoeconomic regions during the energy transition, and this will cause geopolitical competition between great powers. Therefore, the Middle East remains a priority for American foreign policy, and the country's presence in the region will continue in a new form.
