The October 7, 2023, "Al-Aqsa Storm" operation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict triggered profound and unprecedented transformations in the security landscape of West Asia. This study analyzes the security implications of this event on Egypt and Jordan—two neighboring states intimately connected geographically and politically to the occupied Palestinian territories. Utilizing Barry Buzan’s Regional Security Complex Theory and a descriptive-analytical approach, the research draws on extensive literature review, expert interviews, and focus group discussions to examine the multidimensional political, economic, social, and security repercussions. Findings indicate that both Egypt and Jordan have escalated military preparedness, managed internal dissent, balanced diplomatic pressures, and confronted threats posed by armed factions and external actors to maintain domestic stability and regional security. This study underscores that the Al-Aqsa Storm operation constitutes a critical juncture, compelling these states to recalibrate their security strategies within a dynamically shifting geopolitical context. The research highlights the imperative for adaptive and comprehensive security frameworks to safeguard regional stability and resilience amid evolving threats.
