This study examines the transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) in international conflict resolution, focusing on its potential to enhance peace processes alongside the ethical, political, and structural challenges it introduces. The central problem addressed is the lack of a comprehensive theoretical understanding of how AI reshapes the principles, legitimacy, and agency within international diplomacy and conflict management. The research aims to conceptualize AI as both a technological instrument and a political actor that influences decision-making, trust, and power relations in global governance. Using a theoretical and analytical approach grounded in international relations theory, conflict resolution studies, and AI ethics, the paper develops a conceptual framework linking AI’s operational capacities to institutional and normative structures. The findings indicate that while AI can improve early warning systems, negotiation efficiency, and data-driven decision-making, it simultaneously risks reinforcing power asymmetries, algorithmic bias, and technocratic dominance. The conclusions emphasize that responsible integration of AI in international conflict resolution requires transparent governance, ethical accountability, and inclusive institutional adaptation. Ultimately, the study contributes to rethinking sovereignty, legitimacy, and human agency in the era of algorithmic diplomacy.
