This study aims to explore the fundamental components of the Islamic awakening discourse in the thought of the Supreme Leader, through content analysis of his statements and texts. The findings show that Islamic awakening in his intellectual system is a multidimensional discourse that is shaped around the central signifier of "revival of Islamic civilization" with a focus on rationality, science, and ethics. The key components of this discourse include: 1) revival of Islamic identity as the basis for the fight against modern colonialism, 2) resistance to cultural invasion and anti-arrogance, 3) religious democracy relying on the participation of elites and seminaries, and 4) software movement and production of science within the framework of religious values. From his perspective, the realization of this discourse requires the triple coordination of "intellectual elites", "religious institutions", and "people" at the domestic, regional, and global levels.Using Fairclough's critical discourse analysis method and Laclau and Mouffe's hegemony theory, the present study examines the challenges facing this discourse at two levels: internal damage (ideological weakness, leadership-people disconnect) and external threats (colonial strategies such as division and offering deviant alternatives).
