Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Baqir Sadr is one of the greatest Muslim thinkers and, in the words of Imam Khomeini, the "brain of Islamic thought" in the history of Islam, especially in the fourteenth century AH. He was a comprehensive jurist, a social philosopher, a great commentator, a thinker aware of the culture and sciences of his time, a powerful and prolific writer, and an intelligent, brave, and painful politician. In addition to the above prominent features and characteristics, he has been a conscious and powerful theorist. Regarding politics, he has proposed the theory of "general caliphate", which is based on Shiite rules and jurisprudence. In this research, his views on the concept of revolution in the framework of his general caliphate theory and taken from his ontology, epistemology and methodology have been studied.
