In Islam, equality of values between men and women and the same way of progress are an essential principle for both of them, and this undoubtedly means that women's rights are highly respected. On the other hand, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women is a set of articles on women's rights that was adopted by the UN General Assembly in Resolution No. 180/34 on December 27, 1979, and is open to signature and accession by States. Women's rights in Islam and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women are addressed in two terms (discrimination or difference), and the researcher, in addition to referring to generalities, identifies and analyzes the contradictions in this issue in Islam and the Convention.
