Abstract
From the perspective of the Supreme Leader, Grand Ayatollah Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei, political progress is a value-oriented process aimed at enhancing the political system's efficiency, realizing justice, expanding public participation, and preserving the independence and dignity of the Islamic society. This study aims to elucidate the components and indicators of political progress according to the Leader of the Revolution and to identify the obstacles to its realization. Employing a descriptive-analytical method, the research examines the subject through library resources, documents, and the statements of the Supreme Leader. The findings indicate that religious democracy, justice, adherence to the rule of law, efficiency, accountability, ethical conduct, and political participation are among the most significant components of political progress. Furthermore, increased public trust, official accountability, strengthened social capital, national cohesion, enhanced political legitimacy, and the safeguarding of national independence are considered key indicators. Additionally, corruption, injustice, managerial inefficiency, declining public participation, and a departure from Islamic values are identified as major obstacles to achieving political progress.
