Abstract
The Middle East region, due to its special position in the international system, has always been a platform for the action of great powers and regional actors. Meanwhile, the rulers of the countries of the region, by adopting a centralized approach in major decision-making, have tried to balance the continuity of domestic sovereignty and the pressures of the international system. With the occurrence of the developments known as the "Arab uprisings" in 2010, which were associated with the starting point in Tunisia, the foreign policy structure of these countries faced fundamental challenges and structural instabilities. This study, with the aim of analyzing the consequences of these developments on the foreign policy of regional actors, answers the question of how the instabilities resulting from the recent uprisings have provided the basis for redefining the influence of trans-regional powers, especially the United States. The findings show that structural weaknesses in the strategic decision-making of the countries in the region have led the United States to consolidate its position in the Persian Gulf through strategies such as “modernization” and political reshaping. Finally, this article argues that the continuation of these developments has led the countries of the region to transition
