Abstract
National security is the most important need of every country and geopolitical position is considered one of the factors affecting national security. The main issue of the present study is what effect did Iran's geopolitical position have on the country's national security in the periods before and after the victory of the Islamic Revolution? In this study, the survey method was used and the data was obtained through interviews. . After the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the geopolitical importance of the country increased and, consequently, the enemies' efforts to influence and dominate Iran increased compared to the past. However, factors such as religious democracy and the people's sense of belonging to their country led to the repelling of security threats and the preservation of Iran's territorial integrity. The performance of the military and defense sector can be a good model for the executive branch and economic managers to adopt revolutionary positions to save the country's economy from vulnerability.
