Abstract
The presence of Iranian films in international festivals after the Islamic Revolution is a controversial issue in the cultural and media sphere, seen both as an opportunity to introduce Iranian culture and as a platform for reflecting internal challenges. This study aims to propose a media attitude model for this presence. The research was conducted using a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach. The statistical population included academic experts in media management, film directors, and critics, from whom 12 individuals were selected through snowball sampling until theoretical saturation. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings revealed four organizing themes and 17 basic themes: opponents' criticisms, including negative portrayal, weakening of national identity, being influenced by Western policies, and damage to domestic cinema; proponents' support, including introducing Iranian culture and art, cinema growth, international interactions, enhancing quality and diversity, and public diplomacy; strategies based on national interests, such as improving the global image, developing the film industry, strengthening cultural diplomacy, and market expansion; and national consequences, including enhancing Iran's image and culture, economic development of cinema, strengthening cultural diplomacy, and improving cinema standards.
