Abstract
In the aforementioned conflict, countries have sought political and economic solutions to reduce tensions and establish stability. Since the Arctic, as a region rich in energy resources and with a special geopolitical location, has attracted global attention, the economic agreement between the United States and Russia to develop such resources can be considered as a new approach to ending the war and restoring international cooperation. The purpose of the research is to examine whether the economic agreement between the United States and Russia can act as a key factor in reducing tensions and ending the Russia-Ukraine war. The findings suggest that an economic agreement could serve as an effective tool in facilitating negotiations and ending the war, provided that other challenging factors, including the lack of trust between the United States and Russia and political changes in Ukraine, are managed. The agreement could also have a positive impact on improving Ukraine’s economic conditions and creating an environment for cooperation in other areas, such as environmental protection. At the same time, significant challenges, including distrust, geopolitical risks, and the need for international oversight of implementation, could prevent the full implementation of an economic agreement.
