To estimate the linear regression models, ordinary least squares method and t-test statistic were used to test the significance of the coefficients of the regression equation, and finally, Fisher's test statistic was used to determine the significance of the equation. The results of the research hypotheses test show that political connections have a positive effect on the cost of capital of companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange, and the size of the audit committee and the independence of the audit committee have a significant decreasing effect on the positive relationship between political connections and the cost of debt of companies.
