Abstract

Surah Al-Maedah, which is also known as Al-Muqad and Al-Munqad, is the fifth Surah of the Holy Qur'an in the current order of the Qur'an. This Surah has 120 verses, two thousand eight hundred and four (2806) words and eleven thousand seven hundred and thirty three (11733) letters, and except for the third verse which was revealed in Hajj al-Wada, the rest of the verses were revealed in Madinah. The purpose of this research is the political components of Islamic rulers in Surah Ma'idah. Islamic rulers are those who have the ability to influence others and can impose their will on them. If such people are considered in political-social life, they are placed in a ruling position and exercise power. And the most important question that must be answered in this research is who is the agent of power or the Islamic ruler from the point of view of Surah Ma'idah and what characteristics should he be adorned with. Therefore, according to the verses of Surah Ma'idah, it became clear that all existence and everything in it is the property of God and is under His control
